Rally Events
Rally has been around for a while in the US and other parts of Canada, but the Rally trials are relatively new to Alberta. Rally is a dog obedience event where the dog and handler must perform a series of exercises as indicated by a set of signs. They move from sign to sign and perform each exercise. Handlers are encouraged to talk to their dogs. More than one organization have a set of rules and title dogs in Rally including the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), Canadian Associaton of Rally Obedience (CARO), and the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). Check-In: Check-in will begin 9:00 a.m., and continue all day. Level 1 Walk-through and judges briefing will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Awards: This is a qualifiers Trial - no prizes but plenty of opportunities to qualify and earn legs.
